Arvind Limited has appointed retail industry veteran Vivek Sandhwar as Business Head for The Arvind Store (TAS) and AD businesses.
In his new role, Sandhwar will lead the next phase of growth and retail performance for The Arvind Store and AD businesses. He will also oversee the consumer and marketing agenda for Arvind’s fabrics business, focusing on strengthening brand positioning and customer connect.
Sandhwar joins Arvind Limited with more than two decades of experience across fashion, apparel and lifestyle retail.
Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Being Human Clothing for nearly four years, where he led retail, department store, distribution, ecommerce, marketing and product functions with full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility.
During his tenure, he played a key role in expanding the brand’s retail footprint to more than 750 points of sale while advancing its omnichannel strategy and brand positioning.
Prior to Being Human Clothing, Sandhwar spent over three years at Raymond Limited as Chief Product Officer & Director Marketing & Visual Merchandising (VM).
He was responsible for product, marketing and category strategy for Parx and Accessories, while also leading marketing, visual merchandising and digital initiatives for ColorPlus, Park Avenue, Parx, Ethnix and Raymond Ready-to-Wear. Earlier, as Brand Director for ColorPlus, he spearheaded the brand’s repositioning around a sport-lifestyle proposition.
His previous experience also includes Arvind Fashions Limited, where he headed the kidswear portfolio comprising U.S. Polo Assn. Kids, The Children’s Place and Flying Machine Kids. At Indus League Clothing, he managed a Rs 140-crore business across the Converse, Umbro and Champion brands.
Sandhwar also spent nine years with Arvind Lifestyle Brands Limited in various leadership roles, including Assistant Business Head for U.S. Polo Assn. and Head of Marketing.
During this period, he contributed to building the brand’s association with cricketer Virat Kohli and several Indian Premier League (IPL) teams.
He began his career in design and category management at Levi Strauss & Co. and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. At Levi Strauss & Co., he was the first designer hired for the Levi’s brand in India.
