Arvind Limited has appointed Rajarshi Ghosh as Chief Executive Officer of its denim business, a move aimed at strengthening leadership as the company sharpens its focus on profitable growth and deeper customer engagement in the segment.
Announcing the appointment, Vice Chairman Punit Lalbhai said Ghosh’s elevation aligns closely with the company’s priorities for the denim business following improvements seen in recent quarters. He said Ghosh’s sector expertise and track record in execution are expected to support efforts to enhance customer experience, accelerate enterprise-wide digitisation and reinforce a high-performance culture centred on accountability and outcomes.
Ghosh said his return to Arvind marked an important milestone in his career, noting that he began his professional journey with the company. He said he looked forward to working with teams and customers to build on Arvind’s existing strengths, drive sustainable growth and raise execution standards through scaled digital capabilities and a performance-driven culture.
Ghosh brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience in the textile industry, with a background in business transformation, operational excellence and innovation across large manufacturing operations. He started his career at Arvind as a management trainee and subsequently built a 25-year track record across quality, innovation and operations.
Before rejoining Arvind, Ghosh served as Chief Operating Officer at Jindal Worldwide Ltd., overseeing operations and supply chains across denim, shirting and bottom-weight fabrics. He has also held senior leadership roles at Welspun Group, including President and Business Head at Welspun Living and Senior Vice President at Welspun Flooring, where he led business performance initiatives, greenfield expansions and productivity improvements.
