Grasim Industries Ltd, flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group reported a 38.8% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 3,846.28 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with Rs 2,770.63 crore in Q1FY26.
Revenue from operations rose 21.4% to Rs 48,716.20 crore during the quarter. Consolidated EBITDA increased 26% year on year to Rs 8,077 crore, supported by higher revenue and improved operating efficiencies.
The company said the performance was supported by improved profitability in its cement business and a lower impact from the investment phase of its paints and B2B e-commerce businesses.
UltraTech Cement, Grasim’s key subsidiary, reported total sales volumes of 41.3 million tonnes, up 12.2% year on year. Ready-mix concrete volumes increased 18%.
Grasim’s decorative paints business, Birla Opus, maintained its third position in India’s organised decorative paints market. Its revenue market share increased by 30 basis points sequentially in Q1FY27. The company implemented price increases during the quarter in response to higher input costs, with the overall impact of the price hikes at 8.8%.
Birla Opus had more than 1,450 exclusive branded franchise outlets at the end of the quarter.
Revenue from Birla Pivot, Grasim’s B2B e-commerce business for building materials, moderated sequentially amid market volatility and inventory optimisation by customers. Its annualised revenue run-rate remained above Rs 10,000 crore, supported by higher transaction volumes, customer additions and repeat orders.
Revenue from financial services, which includes Aditya Birla Capital Ltd, increased 28.1% to Rs 12,154.67 crore. Its total lending portfolio across NBFC and HFC businesses stood at Rs 2,19,289 crore, up 32% year on year. Customer assets across its asset management and insurance businesses stood at Rs 7,52,745 crore.
Revenue from Grasim’s other businesses, including textiles, renewables and insulators, increased 30.2% to Rs 1,126.15 crore.
The company has budgeted capital expenditure of Rs 3,157 crore for FY27 and spent Rs 375 crore during Q1FY27.
Grasim said demand across core industries is expected to benefit from the government’s Viksit Bharat initiative.
Shares of Grasim Industries closed at Rs 3,304 apiece on the BSE on Wednesday, down 0.18% from the previous close.
