Various states are geared-up to attract investors in their states and textile, the apparel retail sector is also a big focus for the states.
A seminar on the textiles and apparel sector in Surat city was organised as part of the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, which will be held in Gandhinagar between 10th and 12th January.
Union Minister of State for Textiles Darshana Jardosh and industry representatives addressed this seminar. Gujarat Minister of State for Industries Harsh Sanghavi invited industrialists to consider investing in Gujarat for the continued progress of the sector.
Just a few days back, West Bengal also had the the 7th edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), in Kolkata where 188 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) and Letters of Intent (LoIs) were signed. It included investment from Reliance Group in retail and other industries in West Bengal. This event also had a session on textile in which leading textile players took part.
Another state, Uttarakhand will also hold a global investor summit from 8th-9th December.
