Apparel company’s manager arrested for Rs. 3 crore cheating

In Mumbai, the police has arrested a manager of an apparel facility for misappropriated funds to the tune of Rs. 3 crore.

The accused, Dimple Madhusudan Shah (42), a resident of Nityanand Nagar in Andheri, was arrested by Dadar police. The complainant, Prakash Shah, runs Senso Creation, manufacturers of ethnic wear.

Dimple allegedly misappropriated funds to the tune of Rs. 3 crore by using the bank accounts of five artisans and was arrested from Udaipur airport from where she was trying to fly out of the country.

It is being said that she had allegedly submitted bogus invoices and later, under duress, transferred the money back into her and her parents’ accounts, cheating the company she worked for. She was booked for cheating, forgery, misappropriation and falsification of accounts.
