H&M has jumped into metaverse with the launch of a virtual store ‘CEEK City’ that aims at providing fashion customers with a three-dimensional shopping environment.
The new CEEK City universe offers customers to navigate through the store, select the goods they desire and make a purchase – all in the metaverse, a 3D virtual reality world similar to the physical world.
The consumers will be able to purchase clothing and accessories with CEEK currency; however, these can only be worn in a digital environment. The clothing available in metaverse will be made available in physical stores later, as informed by H&M.
With the launch of a store in metaverse, H&M has become the first retail clothing store in the metaverse.
It’s worth noting here that CEEK VR has tweeted about H&M’s store opening in CEEK City on its official Twitter account and the tweet reads – Shopping in the #metaverse with $CEEK Concept VR store presented to H&M by #CEEK creates mainstream use cases for $CEEK + scaling #Virtualreality beyond games.
