SGS has inaugurated its Cambodian arm in Phnom Penh which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for physical and restricted substances testing for a full range of apparel and textile products and restricted substances testing for footwear products. The new facility will address product safety, quality and compliance requirements of REACH and CPSIA regulations and sustainability management in the textile and apparel industry. Demonstrating the increased demand for consumer product testing services in the region the laboratory will “contribute to and strengthen the local apparel industry’s ability to meet global standards and acceptability” according to SGS.
