India was the third-largest exporter of textiles and apparel to New Zealand in 2024, after China and Bangladesh, with shipments valued at US $ 138.65 million. The leather and footwear sector is also expected to gain, with full tariff elimination across 181 tariff lines.

Textiles ministry extends US $ 935,000 support to handloom weavers in Odisha clusters
The minister said the ministry had trained 5,856 weavers between 2015–16 and November this year, organised 69 marketing events and facilitated the distribution of 7,685 Mudra loans to support livelihoods in the handloom sector.
