Victoria’s Secret & Co. has penned a new strategic, multi-year partnership with Google Cloud to leverage the company’s AI and generative AI technologies to enhance its online shopping experience.
The lingerie brand, which made the announcement prior to the National Retail Federation (NRF) 2024 event, also plans to use Google Cloud technologies to enhance associate and customer experiences worldwide and increase operational efficiencies within the company.
Victoria’s Secret plans to use the new relationship to use a new chatbot driven by generative AI to provide clients with personalised product recommendations and advise based on their individual interests and lifestyles. Victoria’s Secret & Co. also hopes to increase brand synergy with this new alliance.
Victoria’s Secret & Co. intends to enhance the shopping experience for its customers by utilising Adore Me, which was purchased in December 2022, and uses generative AI from Google Cloud’s Vertex AI and Duet AI.
“The integration of Google Cloud’s AI and generative AI technologies will not only improve the online shopping experience for our customers but also will empower our internal teams to drive innovation across various business functions,” said Chris Rupp, chief customer officer at Victoria’s Secret & Co in a statement.
Furthermore, Victoria’s Secret & Co. hopes to improve its operations with the integration of AI technology from Google Cloud. This covers the application of AI to supply chain optimisation, marketing, customer sentiment analysis, and effective inventory control. Furthermore, Victoria’s Secret & Co. imagines that with customised training and onboarding programmes, the technology will support and enhance HR procedures and store operations.
Additionally, Victoria’s Secret and Pink hope to enhance search and recommendation features on their mobile app and website with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI Search, allowing users to find products more quickly and easily.
