FC Barcelona’s new training kit features the latest generation Vapor Knit technology. The technology is based on information and details extracted through motion capture techniques and body scans of the professional football players.
The new range is called ‘FC Barcelona Vapor Knit’ and will be worn by the men and women teams of the Spanish club during training sessions and pre-match warm-ups.
Nike is the technical partner for these training kits and FC Barcelona has become the first football club to adopt this Vapor Knit Technology of the renowned sportswear brand.
The technology, with the data obtained through scanning and the support of computational algorithms, makes FC Barcelona touch new heights in innovation as well as a global design has been generated which is inspired by the contour of the human body.
The fabric in the technical clothing presents variations throughout the body and takes special care of the performance areas where the athlete needs it most.
The zones are created through the contouring and guide the placement of breathability and stretch which allows the performance of the garment to amalgamate with the athletes and assist them obtain a better result while training.
The garment also provides thermoregulation to practice without any sort of distractions caused by human anatomy as well as flexibility to maximise speed and mobility.
The club has said that the new collection is now available via the club’s e-com platform and at the club’s stores in Passeig de Gràcia, La Roca Village and Barcelona Airport Terminal 1, along with other usual points of sale.
