True Tribe, the sustainable activewear brand, unveils its first line with complete transparency leveraging the use of blockchain technology.
The company partnered with SUKU, the blockchain-based supply chain traceability solution provider for its Omni SaaS platform that allows the customers to trace the garment’s complete product journey.
The consumers will be able to trace the garment journey starting from the raw material source which is plastic waste collected by Healthy Seas in the Mediterranean, Adriatic or North Sea, to the recycling of the nylon by Econyl in Ajdoviscina, Slovenia.
The sustainable collection is then made by regenerating these plastics into nylon fabric in Northern Lombardy, Italy, before reaching manufacturing by RIRI in Mendrisio, Switzerland. These are then sent to Pakistan for handcrafting before being shipped to the store or online.
The consumers using the SUKU Scanner app available for both iOS and Android will be able to scan the QR code on the hangtag or affixed to the garment. On scanning, they will get access to the entire journey of their product, allowing them to learn about its story (through videos and images) and about those who created it.
The use of such technology helps brand prove their sustainability claims and also offer complete transparency to the customers. This helps in improving consumer shopping experience and therefore increase brand trust and loyalty.
