Canada-based e-commerce technology company Lightspeed unveils the launch of new subscription-based offering for the retailers in North America.
The new ‘Lightspeed Subscriptions’ will help in collecting the recurring revenue seamlessly through their point-of-sale system.
The retailers will now be able to jump on the subscription box bandwagon and allow them to collect membership fees. The latest feature will also help the retailers to build customer loyalty and future-proof their business.
The recent launch comes as a result of fundamental change in the consumer shopping behaviour due to the outbreak of pandemic.
According to the EY Future Consumer Index, around 34 per cent of consumers said that they would pay more for local products this season.
