Miami-based Future Mind Labs has introduced an innovative garment, the T-shirt TV, previously utilised by celebrities and renowned companies, boasting a built-in screen enabling wearers to display their digital artistry/emotions directly on their attire. Equipped with a USB connection, users can upload images or videos from their devices, projecting their expression onto the shirt for public viewing. Adam Hollander, the creator, known for collaborations with major brands like Microsoft, Walt Disney, and 20th Century Fox, saw an opportunity in the convergence of technology and fashion, prompting the release of T-shirt TV to a broader audience.
This cutting-edge garment features a discreet 10″ digital screen and integrated speakers, concealed within a lightweight fabric. Its battery life extends up to 4 hours, powered by a replaceable 5V power bank, while the removable display allows for convenient home-washing. With a focus on inclusivity, the T-shirt TV offers versatility in size, color, and gender, primarily available in black but customisable in shades like red, blue, green, and navy.
Founder Adam Hollander highlighted his partnerships within the industry, emphasising the evolution from digital screen solutions for big names to the introduction of advanced technology integrated into everyday wear, marking the launch of the retail campaign in November. Future Mind Labs invested over US $ 250,000 in a decade-long Research and Development endeavour to materialise this concept.
Despite its allure to mainstream consumers, the T-shirt TV faces competition from other tech-fashion innovators such as Adobe, unveiling a shape-changing dress, and Chromatic 3D presenting LED dresses, further intensifying the fusion of technology and fashion.
Available for pre-booking on Kickstarter’s web portal, the T-shirt TV anticipates shipments commencing in February 2024, offering enthusiasts an opportunity to embrace this wearable technology.
