Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc., a technology solution provider, unveils WT-A533G UHF RFID garment tag for the garment, uniform and workwear rental companies.
The new development will empower the rental businesses to leverage the use of UHF RFID for garment tracking and asset management, while continuing to use their existing bar code equipment at depots and customer locations.
The new UHF RFID garment tags are washable, 0.6mm thick, transparent and can be easily attached to the garment with standard heat seal labels and be virtually unnoticeable.
These have an adhesive backing that allows these tags to be placed directly on the heat seal label before being attached to the garment. This eliminates any mis-attaching and therefore any rework.
The users can use their existing heat seal label equipment for the process.
Moreover, these tags are designed especially for typical garment industrial laundry and dry-cleaning equipment and processes. The advanced antenna technology allows it to reading hundreds of items and also reduces any mis-reads of nearby tags.
Michi Sugawara, President and CEO of Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc., mentions that the new solution has been developed to meet the customer requirements for implementing RFID asset management technology, while keeping their existing barcoding systems and equipment.
Michi said “The small size and transparency of the tag enables manufacturers to easily integrate our tags into their uniforms, rental garments and workwear.”
