Waistband Attach – Chainstitch and Lockstitch on one Platform!
The Vibemac 3022WB201 is equipped with combined drop feed and needle feed and creates the famous Levi’s style waistband. The joining of the single band in order to have a continuous roll is a favourite working method. In this case, the unit can be equipped with a pneumatic cutter (model Vbm 123) to help the operator cut the band between the trousers attaching operations.
The model is supplied with Vibemac’s unique sewing head available in 2 – 4 – 6 needles and chainstitch. The unit can be supplied for both types of sewing (chainstitch and lockstitch) allowing the two types of stitches to be mixed as desired.
The unit is also offered in several subclasses (from the fully automatic model FLX to the semi-automatic model CS/LS version) and is available with special needle gauge of two inches.
The other Waistband unit 3022WB406 can deliver a specially contoured waistband similar to the ones popular with many fashion denim brands, such as Top Shop, JCPenney, H&M and Zara. The work station is preferred, when processing orders for labels that are incorporating contoured waistband in their styles. This waistband unit supports the manufacturer’s need of stitching skinny fit garments in stretch fabrics while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
The series is equipped with combined needle feed and special puller for double transport (upper and lower). This particular device permits users to obtain the best quality in the anatomic sewing of the waistband which is not possible to obtain with drop feed. This unit has been developed and mainly recommended to work using the continuous waistband roll system. The sewing head of the 3022WB406 automatic unit is available in 2 – 4 – 6 needles, chainstitch and the unit can be supplied with both types of sewing kits (lock and chainstitch).
The two types of stitches can be mixed according to the pattern desired by the producer.
Loop attaching – Designer Loops now Possible
Loop attaching in jeans has undergone change, apart from conventional bar tack and rivet various brands labels like Diesel, Woodland, Levi’s and H&M have come up with various combination of tacking (such as cross tacking, etc.) for attaching loops in a distinct manner. Vibemac responded to their needs with 4650EV8R automatic loop setter. This programmable unit can store from 1 to 999 stitches per bartack with 9 different bartacks styles pre-fed in the memory. The production achievable is around 2000 pairs of jeans with 5 loops in 8 hours. The bartacks can be adjusted in both X and Y dimension. The length of the loop can vary from 20 mm to 85 mm, while the width of the loop and bartack can vary from 8 mm to 25 mm. It is easily programmable by PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), and the user can create sequences of loops without even touching the panel. With this unit, it is now possible to personalize bartack’s shape and design to suit brand logo. Moreover, fancy and designed bartacks (Double, Crossed, Square, etc.) are feasible in sewing area of 30 mm X 16 mm by this unit.
The company also has in its portfolio, the 4650EV7PR which is a basic unit, offering regular bartacks in an “easy to program” mode. The machine can stitch 1 to 999 stitches per bartack. The machine can give the productivity of 150 garments per hour with just one operator. The machine automatically loads and cuts the specified loop length with no fabric waste. Further it can be easily upgraded, with the optional device, to an automatic unit making different kind of loops.
Double Colour Technology – Designer Stitches made Possible
Many brands like Paul Smith, Marks and Spencers, Levis and Koutons are using double colour technology for designer stitches. This can be achieved by the 1010V4 series in a range of Automatic Embroidery and Labelling Unit with double colour technology support.
The programmable pattern tacking units of this range have a wider stitching field (256 mm X159 mm), which allows applications such as flap stitching, embroidering rear pockets or applying labels and hook and loop, sewing coin pockets, and performing other types of ornamental stitching.
It is possible to simultaneously run two colour operations, requested by a single colour automatic unit by using VIBEMAC DCT units – Pocket Design 1010v4DCS, Pocket Setter 2516V4 and Fly Unit J-Stitch 1010V4F1.Thus these units with Double Colour Technology avoids the risk of uneven stitching, which is otherwise higher in two staged operation. The units are flexible and can be provided with or without loading and stacking devices.
