Sun Chemical, a leading producer of printing inks and pigments, has announced that it will increase the prices of its solvent-based inks and coatings in America with effect from 1 July.
As the demand for alcohols and solvents used in the sanitisers and pharmaceutical initiatives has increased, the cost of these materials too has seen a significant surge.
To get the required components for the production of coating and solvent-based inks, the firm would be increasing the price during the second quarter of 2020.
The new prices will remain in place and might increase throughout the remaining year.
More on the same, Chris Parrilli, President of North American Inks, Sun Chemical, said “Sun Chemical’s desire to deliver best-in-class supply, service and quality, as expected by our customers, requires us to ensure a reliable source of raw materials.”
