Stahl, global leader in the specialty chemical treatment of leather, has launched Stahl EleGrade – a new leather upgrading portfolio.
The novelty will allow customers to upgrade their leather quality while retaining the natural characteristics of the material.
The solution delivers improved performance properties, an efficient cost-benefit ratio and a versatile range in upgrading, from fine to high upgrading.

In short, Stahl EleGrade improves the aesthetic look or performance of the leather in a superior, efficient and simple way.”
EleGrade caters to all type of upgrading requirement and consists of three products: Aquabase system, Melio Ground system and Mirage system.
The Aquabase system targets the corrected grain and spilt leather with high performance and is ideal for the leather intended to be used in automotive, furniture, shoe and leather goods.
The Melio Ground system is a tailor-made solution for pre-base or sealer-coat and is ideal for leather intended to be used on furniture, classic shoes & leather goods, while the Mirage system is characterised by reduced film formation while maintaining the natural look and elegance of leather. This is ideal for leathers with uneven surfaces, grain-off issues or mild defects.
The new EleGrade range meets the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) MRSL compliance.
