SHIMA SEIKI MFG LTD, the Japan-based pioneers of Computerized Knitting Machines and CAD Systems have recently introduced Model SRY183LP – a Computerized Flat Knitting Machine featuring loop presser beds with inlay capability, offering new and exciting Knit-textile hybrid fabrics never before possible like knit fabrics with woven products effect. Suitable for Home Furnishing products, this machine has generated an enthralling response globally.
SRY183LP and SRY 123LP inherit SHIMA SEIKI’s highly advanced mechatronics know-how based on the company’s unique experience with four-bed knitting, beginning with SES®122RT, and continuing with SWG®-FIRST® and MACH®X. Speciality yarns such as metallic and monofilament yarns can be knitted as well, opening new doors to areas other than fashion. A high level of productivity typical of SHIMA SEIKI is carried over with a maximum knitting speed of 1.4 meters per second combined with quick carriage returns with the incorporation of R2CARRIAGE® System and original DSCS® (Digital Stich Control System) in this new Model. Apart from this a yarn gripper and cutter and takedown comb contribute to high quality and productivity as well. The SV variant of SRY 183LP and SRY 123LP feature WideGauge® capability whereby a variety of Gauges from Finer-gauges using all needle knitting, to lower-gauges using half-gauge knitting – can knit on a single machine.
The company has also released an upgraded version of “All-in One Designing Tool – SDS-ONE APEX3” 3D Design System. APEX3.3 offers comprehensive support of the entire process of production from planning and designing to production and sales promotion, as well as its capability for Virtual sampling. Besides supporting Flat Knit Garments, APEX3.3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting pile knitting, weaving and printing.
