The intimate wear industry in India has come a long way and there is a growing demand for automation due to lack of labour and other labour-related issues in the country. With the aim to cater to these growing requirements of the market, Focus Garment Tech Pte Ltd. has introduced automatic machines for lingerie industry. “We constantly come up with something new and different and this time we’ve brought automation for the knits segment, basically for undergarments where the need of manpower for the manufacturing processes is huge,” informed Abdul Khaliq, Country Head, Focus Garments Tech during GTE ’16 at Bangalore.
Focus Garment Tech, one of the subsidiary companies of Chu Cheong Co. Pte Ltd. deals in one-stop solutions for all industrial sewing machines and garment equipment from cutting, sewing to finishing section. The company also manufactures machines under the brand ‘Nisho’. At the event, Focus launched logo alignment elastic stitching machines from KEKI China. The machine has a JUKI head and is used to join logo elastics in the undergarments. This automatic machine can reduce up to 7-8 operators as it provides relaxation to elastics, making rings of the same with the exact measurement and also joins the rings of elastic with logo alignment. Additionally, the other machine launched at the event was bra strap automatic sewing/inserting machine again from KEKI with JUKI machine head. The machine reduces 4-5 manual operations.
