This move by Fire-Dex is aimed at tackling supply chain complexities that have emerged in the last few months, thereby boosting its competitive advantage.
Fashion on Demand by Lectra is an Industry 4.0 solution that enables the digitisation of workflows, thus enhancing business performance. This innovative solution automates the production process from order to cutting, with the help of smart algorithms and connected devices. It comprises Lectra’s Digital Cutting Platform and single-ply fabric cutting solution Virga, powered by cloud technology.
With the adoption of the Fashion on Demand solution, Fire-Dex has increased its cutting capacity by up to 30 per cent, laying the foundation to grow garment production from 30K pieces per year to over 80K.
Furthermore, Lectra has facilitated Fire-Dex to enhance its fabric utilisation by 0.7 per cent, automate order processing, streamline the manufacturing process, and optimize offloading technology.
