According to a recent announcement made by Lectra, Art Stone – a US based dance attire designer and manufacturer has adopted Lectra’s cut order optimization technology, Optiplan. Art Stone manufactures really complex garments which are made of intricate fabrics and are made in numerous styles which keep changing and so it wanted to achieve faster turnaround times. Optiplan helped improve the company’s material consumption by 10 to 15 per cent and improved the throughput by approximately 20 per cent. The marker efficiency also rose from 70 to 80 per cent and the cutting productivity improved by 30 to 50 per cent on a daily basis.
