The Indian retail industry is emerging as one of the most dynamic and fast-paced industry today and is expected to become the world’s fastest growing e-commerce market. While lucrative retail space comprises an expansive range of brands, the struggle to find the right kind of place is real. This issue also contains reviews of two mega fashion trade events, both focusing on Spring/Summer 2020 garments and creating networking opportunities for visitors. Meeting new buyers was the prime highlight of the fair. While the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) event saw participation of about 1,000 exhibitors from 12 countries, the 3-day IIGF – India’s biggest sourcing fair – saw around 350 garment exporters across India.
