New York Fashion Week is in full swing, showcasing the latest and the greatest for the upcoming Spring Summer 2019 season. The past few days have introduced us to some of the industry’s most innovative and commercially viable looks – complete with prints, silhouettes, details and colors.

Here, we cut through the attention seeking noise to bring to you the best and cutting-edge print patterns to be trending in the season to come… scroll through our gallery of the Top 10 collections who have made us look twice – at the ardent use of creativity and coupled with intelligence in their print department.

Boho vibes and patchwork-paisley emerges as a hot favorite among designers such as Alice + Olivia, Cynthia Rowley and Zimmermann, whilst moody florals score high at Anna Sui.

Michael Kors gives us major seaside vibes with an avid use of surfer board iterations and hand painted floral prints. Oscar de la Renta channelsikkat patterns, patchwork, and resort-y scarf style prints over Moroccan and Indian sari-inspired silhouettes.

This also season marks the first collection for late designer Kate Spade’s namesake label post her unexpected and sad demise… a keen emphasis on keeping Spade’s signature bubbly and vivid aesthetic intact in linear geometric patterns and abstract florals, was made. As an ode to the designer, the seat cards read, ‘She left a little sparkle everywhere she went.’, accompanied by the back of the show cards that, “In Loving Memory 1962-2018.”. A thin trail of silver sparkle and glitter was smeared across the floor where the guests sat… making for a heartfelt tribute that tugged at the heartstrings and signaled a new beginning for the label.
