Joseph Altuzzara’s namesake label and Etsy have inked a deal to enter into a home-decor collaboration collection.
Dubbed ‘Altuzarra x Etsy’, the limited edition collection features a range of home decor products designed and crafted in a creative partnership between Altuzarra and eight Etsy sellers from around the world.
The collection consists of pieces such as candlestick holders made in collaboration with French ceramics artist Madelon Galland; woven cotton-and-leather coasters and placement mats created with New Jersey-based fibre artist Damaris Kovach; pet beds made with Brooklyn-based pet shop Laylo; crocheted lace and leather stones made by lacemaker Monica Johnson; clay vases made with designer Sara Paloma; and woven baskets made in collaboration with Israeli basketmaker Nuni Yavnai.
The collection also features a sustainable twist, including throw pillows made in partnership with British Colombia-based seller Marika Rowe and notebooks made with designer Stephanie Lunn — both of which are made using fabric scraps from the Altuzarra Spring/Summer 2016 fashion collection.
Commenting on the partnership, Altuzzara said, “With the uncertainty we live with daily, being surrounded by objects and furnishings that give you a sense of comfort is so important,” further adding, “I wanted to create a collection that would bring people peace, joy and happiness.”
Priced between US $ 12 and US $ 1,400, the collection is available for purchase online at Etsy.com.
