The Metropolitan Museum may not be the venue of the Met Gala this year due to the coronavirus. However, a virtual version of the Met Gala called ‘A Moment With the Met’ is being held this year.
As usual, the co-chair Anna Wintour will address everyone on YouTube on 4 May.
This is an initiative to make donations to not only the Costume Institute but also the CFDA’s ‘A Common Thread’, which is set to help people affected by the coronavirus.
The event will feature performances by Florence + The Machine along with Louis Vuitton’s Virgil Abloh performing a DJ set.
The platform will also release video content from former Met Gala attendees like Cardi B, Naomi Campbell, Liv Tyler, Stella McCartney and Liza Koshy.
The event is set to start at 6 pm EDT on 4 May 2020.
