Following a successful edition in New Delhi, the influential forces in India’s fashion and beauty industry, including Lakmé, Reliance Brands Ltd., and the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), are preparing to organise the upcoming edition of Lakme Fashion Week in collaboration with FDCI at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai from 13th-17th March 2024. The event will continue to prioritise sustainability initiatives while maintaining a focus on inclusivity, diversity, and presenting the latest beauty trends in the country.
The split between FDCI and Lakmé Fashion Week occurred in 2005, causing Indian designers to be divided between the two platforms. However, they reunited in 2021, and since then, these two influential entities in India have hosted fashion shows and nurtured talent in the Indian fashion industry.
Lakme Fashion Week stands as one of India’s prominent fashion events, providing a platform to showcase the latest fashion trends, designs, and talents in the fashion industry. Established in 1999, LFW has grown into a significant biannual event that brings together designers, models, celebrities, and fashion enthusiasts from across the globe.
