9th edition of Indian Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Show (IFJAS) 2016 has today been declared open by Ajay Tamta, Union Minister of State for Textiles at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida. The three-day fair is being organised by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH). Dinesh Kumar, Chairman, EPCH, Sobinder Kohli, President of the Fair, Neetu Singh, Vice President, Fair, O.P. Prahaladka, Vice Chairman, EPCH, and members of committee of administration were also present on the occasion.

At the inaugural ceremony, Tamta said that Indian exporters have shown good performance in increasing the exports of fashion jewellery and accessories from the country, but still there is a need to do more hard work in maintaining quality, price and delivery of products to combat the competition from other competitive countries as well as to promote exports from India.
The Minister further stressed for development of crafts of Himalayan region while appreciating the good work being done by EPCH in promoting North East region by bringing products made by artisans and craftsmen on this kind of a platform where large number of International buying community from different countries are visiting to source their requirement.

The fair is witnessing participation of over 250 exhibitors drawn from all parts of the country, displaying high fashion jewellery, semi-precious jewellery, stoles, scarves, shawls, hand bags, neck ties, beads, fancy fashion footwear, etc.
