With a focus on textile and garment manufacturing machinery and technology, as well as advances in textiles, digital screen printing, accessories, and trims, the Gartex Texprocess India Mumbai 2025 edition brings together India’s textile community under one roof and showcases industry breakthroughs.
The expo showcases India’s expanding importance in the global textile industry and has a strong foreign presence with over 125 exhibitors from China, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Denim has emerged as a key fashion trend, according to Chief Guest Sanjay Savkare, Minister of Textiles, Government of Maharashtra, who also announced that the government has lowered import duties on machinery. The Central Government has launched the Technical Textile Mission, which gives businesses the ability to start manufacturing and receive subsidies, in an effort to promote domestic manufacturing in the nation.
He added that Maharashtra’s textile policy, which follows a zonal framework, has been launched. A 45 per cent subsidy can be obtained from Zone 1, 40 per cent from Zone 2, 35 per cent from Zone 3, and so forth. The goal of Zero-Waste Fashion is to reduce textile waste by recycling it and turning it into useful products like carpets. In addition to the aforementioned subsidies, the private sector can take advantage of an electricity subsidy of Rs 2 per unit for private sector companies and Rs 3 per unit for cooperative societies. The PM Mitra Park in Amravati will shortly be opened because most of the construction is finished and only minor adjustments are needed.
Platforms like Gartex Texprocess India are essential for bringing together industry players during a period of global supply chain realignment, according to Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd. Additionally, it connects Indian knowledge with global demand.
MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Messe Frankfurt Trade Fair India Pvt Ltd are co-organizers of the event. From 22nd–24th May 2025, Gartex Texprocess India Mumbai will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
