Amid the global upsurge for technical textiles and the demand for sustainable alternatives, Techtextil India has announced a significant collaboration with Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India and the Austrian Fibers Institute. The two entities have entered into a partnership to bring the renowned Dornbirn Global Fiber Conference (GFC) to India.
The Asia edition of the GFC will be held as part of the Techtextil India Symposium on 18th November 2025, preceding the 10th edition of Techtextil India from 19th to 21st November at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
This marks a significant milestone for the Indian technical textiles industry, positioning the country as a global hub for innovation and knowledge exchange. Titled Shaping the future: Sustainable Growth in Fiber Solutions and Innovations, the GFC will feature a distinguished lineup of global experts, researchers, manufacturers and thought leaders.
Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This collaboration will amplify the benefits of networking and knowledge sharing for industry professionals.”
Matthias W. Gluth, Managing Director, Austrian Fibers Institute, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the institute’s commitment to expanding its presence in Asia and engaging with the growing Indian market.
Techtextil India 2025 showcases leading global brands such as Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla Yarns, and JB Ecotex Ltd. at their event. The exhibition will showcase the latest advancements in fibres, yarns, textiles, nonwovens, and functional textiles, alongside specialised pavilions like Meditex focusing on medical textiles.
