The recently concluded DOMOTEX 2017, leading trade fair for floor coverings, chalked up considerable growth in terms of its exhibitor line-up and visitors from abroad. 1,409 exhibitors from more than 60 countries showcased their latest innovations to a global audience at the Hannover Exhibition Centre, Germany.
This year, around 70 per cent of visitors were from abroad, with the majority (43 per cent) coming from EU countries. 350 exhibitors from India also participated and displayed their products, signifying India fiercely moving forward to grab the opportunity in floor coverings industry. Visitation from the near and Middle East were up by 9 per cent, while East and Central Asia increased by 16 per cent. More visitors came from the US and the United Kingdom, in particular.
One of the exhibitor, Jan Vergote, CEO of the IVC Group expressed, “In 2017 more than ever, DOMOTEX is serving us the best place in the world at which to unveil our latest innovations. As a world first, here in Hannover we unveiled our revolutionary hyper realistic vinyl flooring to an international audience. We are already looking forward to next year’s DOMOTEX, where we plan to mount an even bigger showcase and feature even more products from our comprehensive range.”

Additionally, Innovations@DOMOTEX and the new Young Designer Trendtable, in particular, delivered a great deal of valuable inspiration and highlighted the event as a place that puts creative product innovations and design highlights on centre stage.
