Archroma, a global leader in sustainable specialty chemicals, is set to unveil its innovative DENIM HALO process at two major industry events next month: Sustainability Talks in Istanbul and Denim Première Vision in Milan.
The DENIM HALO process revolutionises denim pretreatment and dyeing, enabling laser-friendly, easily washable denim while reducing its environmental footprint. It combines Archroma’s DIRSOL® RD pretreatment with DENISOL® indigo dyes—featuring an aniline-free formulation—and DIRESUL® sulfur dyes for vibrant ring-dyeing effects. This approach not only minimises processes like manual scraping and potassium permanganate spraying but also lowers caustic soda usage, enhancing weaving efficiency.
At the events, Archroma will join partners Kipaş Denim and Jeanologia to introduce a joint hangtag for Kipaş Denim’s Contra Denim collection. Based on the DENIM HALO process, this collection delivers striking distressed effects like whiskering and fades through eco-friendly processes that conserve water and energy while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
“Sustainability and aesthetics remain key drivers in the denim market,” said Umberto De Vita, Archroma’s Market Segment Director – Denim. “Our solutions empower customers to embrace cleaner chemistries and resource-saving processes while boosting productivity and competitiveness.”
