Exhibitors from China, Japan, Italy, Germany and Singapore are also taking part. Spread across 150,000 sq.ft., the fair has positioned itself as a global platform for the textile industry.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Union Minister of Power and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar said the textile industry is one of the largest sources of employment generation in India, directly employing more than 45 million people, including a significant number of women and those from rural areas. He added that the Government has introduced several measures and incentives to boost the sector and create jobs. He also credited the organisers for bringing together the entire value chain from yarn to finished products under one roof in New Delhi.
