Myanmar will be hosting an international apparel and textile exhibition in the city of Yangon in December.
The event is scheduled to be held from 6 to 9 December 2018 and is expected to witness participation from over 12 countries across the globe.
The seventh Myanmar International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition is being organised jointly by the Myanmar Textile Manufacturers’ Association and the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers’ Association.
The four-day fair will also give an opportunity to the industry to meet and interact with more than 130 brands from nations like Japan, China, India, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore and Myanmar among several others.
The organisers added that the event will give an opportunity to people to see the best of apparels and textiles in addition to witnessing latest sewing and embroidery machines.
There will also be a display of advanced flat knitting and printing machines from renowned global brands. The intent of the event is to build a strong platform for the local market in Myanmar.
It is worth noting that Myanmar today has over 400 garment units that employ nearly 4,00,000 workers across the country.
