
Continuing its strategic partnership with UN Women – United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, the Italian retailer Benetton is set to concentrate on women’s empowerment in the textile supply chains. This collaboration will address specifically women as they are the real agents of economic and social change, the release added. The company will be building a roadmap to achieve living wage for women, who represent more than 80 per cent of the workforce of the global textile and garment supply chain. The program will be presented during the month of April 2015 and progressively will be implemented in countries of common interest.
