The local Pakistani markets price of cotton recovered by Rs. 100 per maund (37.324 kilograms) to Rs. 5,010 per maund in resonance with the upward trend at the world markets. The Karachi Cotton Association (KCA); however, kept its official spot rate unchanged on the second working day at Rs. 4,900 per maund. 4,700 bales (155 kilograms) were bought at Rs. 4,500 to Rs. 5,150 per maund according to Karachi Cotton Exchange.
