Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar has said that the Government will soon formulate a new ‘Textiles Policy’ to give an overall thrust to the textile sector. The new policy will include significant objectives like developing a vision statement for the sector for the next decade to increase the market share from 4 per cent at present. The textile minister also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to announce a big initiative for the weavers of Varanasi on his visit to the state on 13th and 14th of October.
