
Rajasthan, having export hubs like Jaipur, Bhilwara and Jodhpur etc., has constituted an export promotion council for the first time.
The initiative is to resolve problems related to exporters and boost exports from the state.
Rajiv Arora, Chairman of Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation and jeweller has been appointed the Chairman of this council.
At the first meeting of the council, Rajiv claimed that due to the growth-oriented industrial policies of the State Government, the export sector has made a quantum jump with 38 per cent growth.
SN Modani, Ravi Poddar and Anil Agarwal have also been appointed as the directors of the council.
The trade body will support the efforts to increase export from states, irrespective of the products. Notwithstanding the challenges for exporters in the state, the council aims to do its best to address them with the support of Government and administration.
The council will, reportedly, aim to achieve the target of Rs. 1 lakh crore of export from Rajasthan.
