
India-based Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers′ Co-operative Society Ltd., popularly known as Co-optex, noted record sales of Rs. 315 crores during 2016-17 fiscal. It sold handloom and powerloom products worth Rs. 313.38 crores during 2015-16.
Set up in 1935, Co-optex currently operates 194 outlets across the country, majority of them in Tamil Nadu. It also operates outlets in New Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and Panaji known for selling silk and cotton saris and dhotis.
