Of late, Bangladesh as a FDI destination is increasingly becoming popular. According to the Commerce Minister of Bangladesh Tofail Ahmed, the country offers the most flexible foreign direct investment policy and as such has proved itself to be the most attractive destination in the South Asian region. According to Ahmed, investors from Asia, Europe and North America have already invested and continue to invest in various sectors in Bangladesh. His views have also been endorsed by the Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister, Dr Gawhar Rizvy, who went on to observe that “Bangladesh is turning out to be one of the most preferred destinations for foreign direct investment as there is no break in policy continuity at the Government level.”
