A Boston based investment firm that focuses on innovation and technology, Battery Ventures has recently acquired James Heal, a UK-based manufacturer of textile testing instruments. James Heal offers an extensive range of test materials, test instruments, services and calibration to help measure textile properties such as colour-fastness, strength, pilling, abrasion, shrinking and flammability, for the global textile and apparel market. Following the acquisition, David Repper, the current MD of James Heal will only be involved as a consultant to assist with customer relations and operations, product development and also to help to ensure a smooth transition period in future.
