
Stylecraft Limited has reopened the manufacturing unit after almost a gap of four months.
Media reports maintained this adding the garment manufacturer resumed production from 1 December after it had shut down the manufacturing unit in middle of July this year while underlining that following the death of its founder Shamsur Rahman in 2016, coupled with leaving of Japan’s Uniqlo, in 2019 over allegations of non-compliance, which happened to be its premier buyer, along with a series of unproductive investments by the owners, reportedly, led to the temporary closure of the unit.
Meanwhile, interacting with the media, a senior official of Stylecraft, reportedly, stated that out of the 62 lines, production was going on in 12 lines due to lesser work orders and went on to further add Stylecraft got work orders for about 10 lakh pieces of apparel items while 3.5 lakh pieces order is in the process.
