
One of Bangladesh’s renowned denim producers, Shasha Denims Limited, has posted steep year-on-year decline in profit to Taka 42.31 lakh in the third quarter of 2022-23 even as the company’s profit, in the identical January-March quarter of 2021-22, stood at Taka 7.76 crore.
This is as per media reports, which maintained as per a disclosure by the company on the Dhaka Stock Exchange, its earnings per share decreased due to an increase in financial expenses and income taxes even if the consolidated earnings per share of Shasha Denims Limited also plummeted to Taka 0.03 in January-March of 2022-23 from that of Taka 0.55 in the identical period a year earlier.
Reports further added the consolidated net operating cash flow of Shasha Denims Limited in the first three quarters of the current financial year per share increased to Taka 12.21 from that of Taka 4.57 even as it reported consolidated earnings per share of Taka 1.36 in the nine-month period of FY23 as against that of Taka 1.45 in the same period, a year ago.
