
The country’s top trade group, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), has stated that it is willing to strengthen commercial relations and trade between Bangladesh and Russia.
On 27th May, at the FBCCI Office in Gulshan, FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam made the call while in attendance at a discussion session with a Russian team.
The Trade Commissioner of Russia led the Delegation to India Dr Alexander Rybas. FBCCI Senior Vice President Md Amin Helaly, Vice President Mohammad Anwar Sadat Sarker, Shomi Kaiser, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Bangladesh Alexander V Mantytskiy, FBCCI directors, and other dignitaries were present at the moment.
FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam stated during his welcoming address that there is a long history of amicable connections between Bangladesh and Russia. Russia has steadily grown to be Bangladesh’s main trading and infrastructural development partner.
In addition to RMG, Mahbubul Alam stated that there is a great deal of room for expansion in our bilateral trade relationship and export diversification through the sale of processed foods, pharmaceuticals, light technical goods, and plastics.
Bangladesh is a vibrant market for Russian goods and services due to its rapidly expanding economy and youthful labour force. With its abundant resources and cutting-edge technology, Russia can be a useful ally in Bangladesh’s continued development process.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Bangladesh Alexander V Mantytskiy said that Russia and Bangladesh have enjoyed tremendous friendship for a very long time. Bangladesh is Russia’s second largest trade partner in the South Asian region.
There is a tremendous expansion of business links between the two countries. Similar to Bangladesh, Russia is keen to help arrange business-to-business meetings between its entrepreneurs and those of Bangladesh.
Senior Vice President of the FBCCI, Md. Amin Helaly, reiterated the organization’s dedication to assisting business alliances between Russian and Bangladeshi companies. The organisation believes that cooperation may open up new trade and investment opportunities, promoting prosperity and economic growth for both parties.
