As Indian apparel industry finally witnesses good response, few new companies are also entering into the sector. Sri Vyoma Clothing, Bangalore is one such new name in the race with its strong future plans and vision. Focusing on knitwear products like underwear, tee’s, polo’s, sweats, joggers, zip ups, etc., the company has 250 machines as of now but the future plan is of having 1,500 machines by March 2015. The seemingly ambitious goal stems from the management, which includes Govindaraju Co-partner of the company, and supporting the venture on the financial and structural front and being prominent businessmen in the area for the past 25 years and Anita G. Kalon, also a Co-partner, having vast experience of sourcing from India as well as strong technical and production background working in this field for the past 13 years.
Talking exclusively to Apparel Online, Anita informed, “We are working with high-end and high street buyers of Europe, like Gaudi, Burton Menswear, GAS, Replay, Umbro, etc. These buyers are placing good orders with us and we are also working to add new buyers, so we are sure about the growth of our company. In first year, the target is to touch a turnover of Rs. 75 crore. Our strength, apart from all kinds of value additions – be it prints, washes or special treatments, is fast turnaround time on the orders which we are making in 40 days from order placement to shipping, so we easily satisfy the buyers.”
The company has a strong focus on the quality and timely deliveries with LEAN system implementation, following compliance requirements and it has already applied for SMETA and SA8000 certification, which is expected to be obtained by March 2014.
