The India-based Adani Godda Power Plant will start supplying 800 megawatt of electricity from the total of 1600 MW that it would generate to Bangladesh from this December.
According to reports, the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has underlined this even as it added the supply will start from 16th December while also claiming the thermal power plant in Jharkhand’s Godda (in India) will start supplying the remaining capacity after commencing full production in March next year.
The BPDB submitted a report to this end recently during the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on power, energy, and mineral resources ministry.
It may be mentioned here that industries in Bangladesh are currently facing power crisis that have hit their production significantly.
