Keeping ‘Automation’ at the core of its offering, Smart Technology, since its establishment in 2007 has become a complete solution provider for the apparel industry and the textile industry. “People have now understood the significance of automated machines and solutions, hence are seriously exploring for the same. This is also necessary even in a country where abundant labour and skilled labour is still very limited,” reasons Suvashis Paul, CEO, Smart Technology. The company has an office each in Dhaka and Chittagong, and works with brands like Tonello, Loiva, Triveneta, Vibemac, Veit, Ugolini, Be.Ma.Tex, Jack, Hashima, Nissin and Nisho.
Since its inception in 1981, Tonello is manufacturing and providing finishing solutions specifically designed finishing bottoms. With all-Italian technology and design, the products are entirely manufactured in Tonello’s factory in Italy. “Our machines are present in the market for more than 30 years and thus have created a reputation of quality brand,” says Denis Chiarello, Area Sales Manager, Tonello.
Among the products to offer, Tonello’s washing and dyeing machines have received good acknowledgement from its clients. “When we design our machines, we’re not only thinking about their performance but also their energy-efficiency, water consumption, harmful gas emissions and scrap, says Denis. The eco-dyeing jet system of Tonello utilizes 2 litre of water per kg of garments as compared to 10 litre used by other dyeing machines.
G1 O Free machines were the highlight of Tonello’s stall in DTG fair. The machine is used to impart ‘used look’, a control bleaching effect that reduces drastically the use of harmful chemicals on denim. Since the ozone system is an attachment to the existing machines from the company, it can also be used to produce amazing fashion effects on dyed garments. Being flexible in nature, the machine can be used for standard wash processes such as enzyme, stone and dyeing process to wash up to 300 kilos in one batch. Customers also have the option to customize their machine according to their requirement for example, as in case of sulphur dyeing only nitrogen tank needs to be added into the system that removes all oxygen. The company strongly focuses on after-sales service and has a dedicated team of technicians for the same. They have sold more than 500 machines in Bangladesh, Pacific Jeans being the prime customer for the brand.
