Reliance Retail Limited has pledged its commitment to consumer safety by signing the ‘Consumer Safety Pledge’ from the Department of Consumer Affairs. The signing ceremony was held on behalf of its various platforms, including Ajio, Netmeds, Reliance Digital, and JioMart, as part of its ongoing dedication to protecting consumers.
The purpose of the agreement is to reaffirm a dedication to upholding the highest safety standards for the benefit of Indian consumers. The four main tenets of the pledge are identifying and stopping the sale of dangerous and non-compliant goods, raising seller awareness of the need for safe products, collaborating with statutory authorities to ensure compliance with product safety laws, and providing consumers with tools and information to report safety issues.
The Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution, B L Verma, stated that the proactive initiative by the Department of Consumer Affairs, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlights the government’s commitment to consumer prosperity.
