
Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) of Vietnam has approved Intertek, a total quality assurance provider to industries worldwide, to conduct testing for the formaldehyde and Azo dyes requirement for textile products in the country.
Equipped with GC-MS and UV-VIS testing equipment, both Intertek textile laboratories in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi can identify formaldehyde and Azo dye content in various textiles products, including apparels, home textiles, footwear, carpets and curtains.

Thanh Nguyen, Country Managing Director, Intertek, Vietnam averred, “It is our honour to be the first foreign third-party laboratory approved by MOIT for this new regulation. In the past few years, Intertek Softlines has been facilitating the rapid development in the apparel and footwear manufacturing industry in Vietnam, assuring the quality and safety of Vietnam exports. Accredited to conduct physical and chemical testing for AATCC, BSI, GB and ISO standards, Intertek in Vietnam offers a wide range of services for apparel, footwear, fashion accessories and leather goods manufacturers.
