IKEA and Flow Loop have entered into a strategic partnership for the development of water recycling shower solution to motivate people to make efficient use of water.
The solution will recycle and clean the water in a closed loop thereby saving up to 80 per cent of water and reducing 70 per cent of energy in comparison to average shower solutions.
“As a brand with presence around the world, IKEA has a big responsibility and opportunity to lead and influence a movement for efficient and more sustainable water use and we are happy to work with innovative partners such as Flow Loop,” said Tobias Svanberg, development leader Range & Product Innovation, IKEA of Sweden AB.
Flow Loop is one of the ten finalists of IKEA Bootcamp 2019, and has worked on an innovative water recycling solution that fits to any shower space.
The innovation and affordable product aims to reduce the water usage at home. The solution will help in effectively utilising the water while improving the quality and water availability.
