A fire broke out in a textile unit in Noida’s Sector-64 area and the factory’s building was destroyed by fire. No casualty has been reported so far.
Fire department officials said that the fire broke out in the factory at around 1:30 a.m and the cause of the fire might be a short circuit.
More than 50 fire personnel were engaged in dousing the fire and it took twelve fire tenders and more than nine hours to put it out.
The police squad and fire team rushed to the scene as soon as they received the information. To ensure safety, nearby factories were also asked to vacant for some time.
As per reports, the forensic team was also called to determine what caused the incident and whether there was a malfunctioning fire system. The forensic team will do a detailed inspection of the incident.
It is being said that factory manufactures rugs, equestrian products made of synthetic and non-leather materials.
